Robert Stanker
Bob joined John W. Callahan, Ltd after serving as an Assistant State’s Attorney in DuPage County from 2005-2015, where he prosecuted a wide range of cases, from DUIs to complex narcotics, armed robberies, and murder. He spent four years in the Narcotics Unit and, as senior attorney, supervised two other lawyers in his courtroom.
Before joining the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office, Bob served as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Cook County from 2001-2005, primarily at the 6th District courthouse in Markham, where he prosecuted misdemeanors and felonies. His experience as a prosecutor gives him a valuable perspective on criminal defense.
Bob belongs to several professional organizations, including the Illinois State Bar Association and the DuPage County Bar Association. He earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2001 and holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
